About eVisa Service

Malaysia Immigration introduced eVisa Service and eVisa is an Electronic Visa for Malaysia which enables all eligible nationals able to obtain & visit Malaysia for short term basis.



Eligible nationalities for eVisa

eVisa is applicable for below listed nationalities:

India, China, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan, Serbia and Montenegro

eVISA can apply from following countries only:

eVisa can apply from anywhere in the world except Malaysia & Singapore.



eVisa validity

eVisa validity will be 3 months from the date of issuance of visa.

An eVisa holder is eligible to stay up to 30 days on each entry within 3 months from the date of issue. Extension of visa is strictly not allowed.




Document required for eVisa

Below listed document are compulsorily required for eVisa category. All documents should be clearly scanned with all edges visible. No flash or glare in the documents. Use scanner device only.

Recent studio taken photo with white background (Full head and shoulder visible)

Passport Front Page & Last Page

Observation page (If any changes in the passport front page. example: changes in name, dob)

Confirmed roundtrip ticket (Including all route ticket in single file
Example route: India Singapore Malaysia Thailand India)

Birth Certificate for minor applicant age below 12 years( Incase if not available then upload NOC letter from parents or Guardian)

Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate for adults

Additional documents for Business & Official meeting category

Invitation letter from Malaysia business partner

Confirmation of your employment letter (India)

Bank statement or recently visited country visa page(Optional)

Applying Procedure:

For first time applicant are compulsory to register an account by click on Register Now to register your profile.
Registration profile can also be on third party person eg: Travel agent.

For existing applicant, you are required to click on Login Now to return to your account.



Approval Methods & Processing Time

Your application will be sent for submission through electronically after your completion of application. Your applications and documents will be review & inspection by Malaysia Immigration Department or Malaysia Mission Office. During the validation, in the event of suspicion, applicant may be required to submit additional document or may be immigration may request you to attend skype session or direct interview at the nearby Malaysia Consulate or High Commission Office to finalize your application. Processing time of your application vary 48 -72 working hours excluding weekends, public holidays and national holidays.

Delivery method of eVisa

Once your application is approved, then you will receive email/SMS notification to download your Electronic Visa in PDF Format. Applicant need to printout the PDF document in A4 Printout Paper. Color format is highly recommended. You may need to shown at the immigration checkpoint at the airport to get stamp on your passport.

Your Approved eVisa printout in A4 Paper

Sufficient funds (Cash/ Traveler’s Cheque/Debit or Credit Cards) to cover expenses during your stay at Malaysia

Confirmed Roundtrip ticket.

Proof of accommodation/Hotel confirmation
